Steps to Setting up an SBCGlobal Email Account in Outlook Using the incoming IMAP

  • Open the Outlook email program and select the file option in the upper left corner of the window. At the bottom of the file, select Account Settings in Info
  • On the next screen, enter your details in the default account setup screen and click Next.
  • Next, Outlook will automatically configure your SbcGlobal email account as an IMAP account with the appropriate settings.

  2. Security Type: SSL / TLS (Accept all certificates)
  3. Insecurity – Port: 143
  4. Security Type: None (Accept all certificates
  • This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)
  • Use the following encrypted connection type: None

NOTE: For SSL / TLS security settings, select the checkbox next to “This service requires secure connection (SSL)” for both – outgoing and incoming emails.

General SMTP Port settings for BBCGlobal.Net

  • Outgoing (SMTP) Secure – Port: 465
  • Security Type: SSL / TLS (Accept all certificates)
  • Outgoing (SMTP roaming server) Secure – Port: 587
  • Security Type: SSL / TLS (Accept all certificates)
  • Outgoing (SMTP) – Port: 25
  • Security Type: None (Accept all certificates)
  • Outgoing Server (SMTP Rover) Unprotected – Port: 587
  • Security Type: None (Accept all certificates)
