QuickBooks is essential software for users, and with the growing competition in the business arena, you may need it most. You are now sharing more information to help you complete the accounting and retention process so that you can pay for this missing data. It will be a return visit for you and your company, and it can take weeks to work hard. QuickBooks files may be damaged for some reason, and you will not access this data. It is, therefore, a wise step to get QuickBooks files to a local backup. You can do this job by following this blog to the end.
QuickBooks file retrieval process:
- Open your QuickBooks and go to the File menu where you need to select ‘Open or restore company.’
- Find ‘restore backup option’ and click on that to retrieve data from the backup copy and proceed to the next step.
- In the next window, you will be asked to select a data recovery location. You can choose ‘local backup’ to restore it from the backup.
- Click next to continue selecting any options from ‘Online Backup’ and ‘Local Backup.’
- A dialog box will open with the word ‘open copy copy’ and navigate there to select a backup copy of the location to return.
- Next, you need to select the ‘open’ tab in the same dialog box to return to the ‘open or restore company’ tab.
- You will now be able to choose to ask, ‘where do you want to restore the file?’ Click next to reply.
- You can then save the company file to the selected location after clicking ‘yes’ to overwrite the file.
- The next type of box, ‘yes’ to delete the entire file, is ‘OK’ to complete the compilation process.
- You will be asked to enter your login details in the next dialog box, but if you have not yet created an administrator username and password, you need to go to the ‘sensitive data protection setup’ field and set a username and password.
- Confirm the password and click to complete the process.
- You can now access all activity from the selected date range to refresh and close the window.
