How to Forward Outlook Mail to Gmail?

There are two ways to send emails from your Outlook account to your Gmail account. The first method involves steps to set up your Outlook account; The second method involves setting up your Gmail account.

Method 1: Setting Outlook Account to Transfer Mail to Gmail Account

This method provides instructions for setting up your Outlook email account to automatically send incoming emails to your Gmail account.

  • First, open a supported web browser on your computer and go to the Outlook.com login page. Once you are on the sign-in page, you will need to enter the login details for your Outlook account.
  • Once you have logged into your Outlook.com account, you will need to click on the Settings option (Gear icon) located near the top right corner of the screen. It will open a drop-down menu on the screen.
  • From the drop-down menu, you’ll need to click on view of all the Outlook settings options. Doing so will open the full details of your Outlook account settings.
  • In the Settings section of your Outlook account, you will need to select the Transfer Option from the left panel under Mail.
  • On the next screen, you will need to select the checkbox next to Enable forwarding.
  • Next, you’ll need to enter your Gmail account’s email address in the field that reads “Transfer my email to:.”
  • NOTE: if you wish to keep a copy of forwarded emails in your Outlook account, be sure to check the checkbox next to Save a copy of sent messages.

  • When you have finished providing the required information, you will need to click the Save button in the window’s lower right corner.
  • As you click the last button, your Outlook account will be configured to forward emails to your Gmail account.

Method 2: Edit Gmail Account settings to Transfer Emails from Your Outlook Account

This way, you’ll need to set up your Gmail account to create emails from your Outlook account to automatically transfer them to your Gmail account.

  • Open a supported web browser on your computer and go to the Gmail login page. Enter your Gmail sign-in credentials in the specified fields and log in to your Gmail account.
  • Once you’ve signed in to your Gmail account, you’ll need to click on the Settings option (gear icon) in the top right corner of the screen. It will open a drop-down menu on the screen.
  • From the drop-down menu from your screen, you’ll need to click on See All Settings. You’ll be directed to the settings section for your Gmail account.
  • On the Settings page, you will need to go to the Accounts and Import to the Accounts and Import tab; you will need to go to Check Email from other account options.
  • Under Check Email from other accounts, you will need to click on Add Email Account. Doing so will open an email account box on your screen.
  • In the mail account box, you will need to enter your Outlook email address in the field you are assigned and click Next on the next screen; you will see the following two options:
  • Connect accounts with Gmailify
  • Import email from my other account (POP3)
  • Of the options provided, you will need to select Link accounts with the Gmailify option and click the Next button.
  • After that, you will be notified that you have allowed Gmail access to your next Microsoft account information on the next screen.
  • Access your email addresses
  • Access your information at any time
  • Sync and email
  • Here you will need to click the Yes button. On the next screen, you will be notified that your Gmail account is set up to receive incoming emails from your Outlook account to your Gmail account.
  • Finally, click the Close button to complete the setup process.
  • So, here are two ways you will need to follow to transfer emails from your Outlook account to your Gmail account.
